Adventure Club Wasn’t Always Into EDM
From hardcore pop-punk to EDM, Adventure Club has taken the scene by storm. Having met in high school, the duo went through quite a few transformations before finally deciding to settle on producing electronic dance music.
In an interview with EDM Sauce, Adventure Club explains the reasons behind their musical switch up.
“We started out as so many different things. Hardcore, Punk, and before that, one of us was a blues artists, playing guitar on stage. We shifted to EDM a couple of years ago, in early 2011. We got tired of lugging around our amps and drum kits haha.”
“We’ve taken elements from Tiesto, Avicii, the whole circuit, but expect a lot of heavy stuff. We’ve been inspired by the heavier sounds lately. We just got off this tour called The Safe And Sound Festival and it had all these Dubstep artists that we used to look up to back in the day, so we’ve been feeling the heavier sound a lot more.”
We’re glad they decided to stick with dance music, we think it suits them well! With Christian Srigley and Leighton James heading to Venue 578 on Friday, April 17th (grab your tickets here), there is no doubt that they will be bringing that Adventure Club sound we’re all in love with.
They threw down at the Safe in Sound Festival back in October, and you can expect them to do the same this time around at this Adventure Club Orlando show.
Of course, we all know and love the classic sounds of Adventure Club with songs like their Crave You remix.
But their new Hurricane remix is quickly becoming a new favorite and just as much of a classic.
These tickets are going fast, so grab them here and don’t miss out on this extra Adventure Dubby night!
