Meet The Panda Funk Family

Back in January, Deorro announced that he would be taking a break from touring and focusing most of his attention on his label, his music and his family. Well, we are glad to know that he has paused his break and has embarked on the Panda Funk Tour that actually hits Orlando soon!

We shared earlier this week a short article all about Zoofunktion and another about the Panda Funk movement, but we figured it would be a good idea to also give you the lowdown on the other artists that will be joining right along side the Panda Fam.

Deorro

He is the leader of this Panda Funk Family, who many of us are excited to see, and the talent behind "Five Hours". When explaining who Deorro was, Steve Aoki noted that he is a "producer’s producer". We think this goes without saying, but this guy is definitely talented and we couldn’t be more excited to have him and the rest of the Panda Fam playing for Orlando.

A little Bit More About Deorro

Did you know he creates all of his own sound? He is a fan of "sound", not genres, as he explains in many of the interviews that we have been reading. Check out below what he had to say about using plugins for his music during an interview with Dance Deep.

What are your favorite plugins and VSTs?
I don’t use plugins. I make everything, from the drums to the trumpets to the violins, everything’s in my voice. I recorded everything the way you’re recording this right now [with an iPhone]. I could make a whole album with that. So that’s why I say, “it’s sound.” If you think about it, if you just aim for sound, and you can recreate sound… that’s the source of music. It took forever, but it’s worth it.

Dirty Audio

Of course, what is the Panda Funk Tour, without the rest of the Panda Funk Fam? Dirty Audio is an L.A. based producer, who was actually one of the first trap producers to perform in India. Random, we know… But we all like a little random! We found an awesome interview with Dirty Audio via Festival Sherpa, and there were some pretty sweet, but random facts about him. Check out some of things you may not have known about him below!

One thing you can’t leave home without?
My phone. Always gotta have that iPhone!

Biggest inspiration in your life?
My family and friends. They’re always supporting me, it’s good to have that.

Weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten?
Airplane food.

What would you be if you weren’t an artist/musician/DJ?
Definitely something in the music industry. I’ve never really seen myself doing anything besides music.

If you had a superpower, what would it be?
Flying, I’d fly to all my shows.

iE-z

We had to do some major research about iE-z, but that only means he is definitely one of the best. After a few listens of his songs, you’ll know exactly why he is part of the Panda Fam. He believes that the renaissance of Hip-Hop is upon is, and he is on a personal mission of lyrical resurrection. He gains inspiration from Hip-Hop, R&B, Electronic, Rock and Funk… So you could say that he is genre-less. We are extremely excited to have this talented artist, writer, producer, engineer and revolutionist here for this Panda Funk Orlando Tour.
